Home Depot (for shelter needs that pop up from time to time)
Can I donate used clothing?
Please call ahead or contact us via the website to inquire about our need for clothing. At any given time we may have an overabundance of certain clothing items. We can educate you on our needs at the time, or we can direct you to other community services in the area where you can donate your clothing items.
Is my donation of goods tax-deductible?
Yes, it is! We provide a receipt for any items donated to the shelter.
Where and when can I drop off item donations?
Items can be dropped off between 9:00am and 2:00pm Monday through Friday. It’s always helpful to contact us ahead of time to make sure we do not have any engagements that require us to be out of office.
How can I help Project Hope for the Homeless in other ways?
We appreciate any help that you can provide. A great way is to spread the word about Project Hope for the Homeless – tell your friends, neighbors, and your church! Also – spreading the word on our Facebook page is a great way to reach many people, and also keep you informed on our current needs.
Since 1993, more than 8,000 children and adults experiencing homelessness in Northeast Ohio have received shelter, care, and guidance through Project Hope for the Homeless, the only emergency shelter in Lake County. In 2019, we served 476 guests including 71 children.
